Warzone movement will finally be better on Verdansk according to latest leak

Swimming has been one of the most controversial mechanics in Warzone since it was first introduced in Warzone 2 in 2022, but leaks suggest it won’t be an issue on Verdansk.
Activision had grand plans for swimming in Modern Warfare 2 back in 2022. In defense of adding a swimming mechanic, the developers argued it was “Hard to make a Warzone map where you jump into the water and die all the time.”
The devs didn’t account for how much of a nuisance it would become. Al Mazrah featured some bodies of water, but frustrations mounted when Ashika Island launched. The island-based Resurgence map had several waterways and regularly forced players to engage in water combat.

Raven Software addressed that issue in 2023 by giving everyone a dedicated pistol slot, but water still presents problems on Urzikstan and players want it removed.

After months of speculation, Activision finally confirmed that Warzone’s original map, Verdansk, will make a long-awaited return in Season 3, which starts on April 3. Leaks revealed that the map will be virtually the same as the original version, aside from a few minor changes.

However, that doesn’t mean there will never be water on the map. TheGhostOfHope also reported, “Verdansk map updates (new and returning) are planned throughout BO6 seasons and beyond potentially to keep people interested. They’re not gonna keep the map as the OG March 2020 version forever.”
